Crazy Bastard Sauce started with a serious love of chilis and a simple idea that hot sauce should taste as good as it burns.

Back in 2013, founder Jonathan O'Reilly began experimenting in his home kitchen, driven by a passion to create bold, flavor packed hot sauces that really showcase each chili. From fruity Habanero and smoky Ghost Pepper to the fiery Carolina Reaper, every pepper we use has its own personality. We build each sauce around that, pairing chillies with ingredients that bring out their best.

Our peppers are oven roasted to boost their natural sweetness, and we only use high quality, all-natural ingredients. No sugar and just a splash of fine Italian vinegar to keep things fresh and balanced.

HOW IT'S GOING NOW

We’re a small but mighty team, and every bottle of Crazy Bastard Sauce is still made in-house with care.

On a typical production day, we turn around 120 kg of fresh ingredients into roughly 1,200 bottles of our handcrafted hot sauce. In busy weeks, that can climb to 5,000 bottles!

Since 2013, our sauces have been winning fans (and awards) around the world, including recognition at the World Hot Sauce Awards in Louisiana, the New York Hot Sauce Expo, and the Great Taste Awards in the UK.

Today, we’re still proudly making bold, flavor packed hot sauces in Berlin Neukölln, driven by a team of dedicated team who keep the fire burning.
