Warm up with this rich and comforting Roasted Pepper & Tomato Soup, elevated with the bold flavour of Carolina Reaper and Blueberry hot sauce
Why This Hot Sauce
Our Carolina Reaper & Blueberry combines the intense heat of Carolina Reaper chilis with the natural sweetness of blueberries and apples for a uniquely balanced flavour. It adds depth and complexity to soups, stews, roasted vegetables, grilled meats and cheese dishes
Ingredients (for 2-3 servings):
- 1 clove of garlic, chopped
- 1 head of red onion, chopped
- 200 gr of chopped tomatoes, from a can
- 2-3 roma tomatoes, chopped
- 2 red bell peppers, roasted, peeled and deseeded
- 1 l of vegetable stock
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tsp of dried oregano
- 1 tbsp of sugar
- 3 tbsp of Carolina Reaper and Blueberry hot sauce
To Finish
- Fresh thyme leaves
- Crusty bread for serving (optional)

Recipe Tips:
- Roasting the peppers beforehand enhances their natural sweetness and depth of flavor
Method:
- Add the garlic, onion, chopped tomatoes, Roma tomatoes, roasted peppers, vegetable stock, thyme, oregano, sugar, salt and black pepper to a large saucepan.
- Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat and cook for around 30 minutes until the vegetables are soft.
- Blend until completely smooth using a blender or stick blender.
- Stir through the Carolina Reaper and Blueberry hot sauce until fully combined.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh thyme
