This spicy sausage pasta combines the rich flavour of sausage with the bold heat of Habanero and Tomatillo hot sauce.
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp of oil
- 2 shallots, diced
- 150 gr of sausage, chopped
- 3 tbsp of Habanero and Tomatillo hot sauce
- 100 gr chopped tomatoes, from a can
- 2 tsp of sugar
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 120 gr of cooked fusilli pasta
- Parmesan cheese
Recipe Tips:
- Use high-quality sausage for a richer flavour and always cook the pasta al dente.
Method of Preparation:
- In a hot pan add oil and start by cooking the sausage.
- After 5 minutes add in the shallots and cook for another 3 minutes.
- Now add in the habanero and tomatillo hot sauce with the chopped tomatoes.
- Season with sugar, salt and black pepper.
- Cook for 5 minutes at a low heat and then toss in the cooked pasta.
- Mix nicely and serve with parmesan on top.
